What is the horizon?
The human desire for exploration leads to discovery, but it is the competitive spirit that drives us towards excellence.
The first challenge we embraced at AGON was HORUS, our project zero.
HORUS’ innovation lies in its ability to dock bow-to, in addition to the conventional docking method. This solution was conceived to meet the privacy needs in ports due to the positioning of the owner’s cabin at the aft, overlooking the sea. The long foredeck and the distinctive backward superstructure ensure an innovative homecoming experience, providing a brand new sensation upon boarding.
Since then, our mission has been to continuously seek new horizons to explore.
In Ancient Greek, the word “agón” means “competition” and “challenge,” interpreted as an intellectual and creative contest. Our vision embraces every new undertaking as a design challenge, aiming to create the best product for our clients. While prioritizing requests and feasibility limits, our goal is to produce a product that satisfies and fully represents us.
At AGON, every challenge serves as an inspiration, and each project is an opportunity for exchanging perspectives and achieving high design standards.
We eagerly anticipate taking on the next challenge!
Lorenzo Berselli grew up spending his summers sailing across the Mediterranean Sea with his family. His overwhelming passion for boats ignited in early childhood, as he roamed the docks and gazed at vessels and fishing boats.
After graduation, he decided to turn his lifelong vocation into a profession by specializing in yacht design.
His career began in 2012 when he started working at Alberto Mancini studio, initially based in Trieste and later moving to Monaco.
During his seven years there, he had the opportunity to take part in
partnerships with both Italian and international shipyards, developing custom as well as production designs.
In 2019, he joined Luca Dini Design and Architecture studio in Florence, further increasing his experience by cooperating with several shipyards. He ventured into the northern European environment and worked on refitting projects. Additionally, he contributed to the architectural planning of a futuristic, sustainable city called Neom in Saudi Arabia.
After a 10-year career, he decided to start his own business and launched AGON.
